Communion

Hello, Superkids!

Today I have a special word for you about Jesus and all He has done for you.  Many of you have seen adults take communion and maybe you have even taken communion yourself.  You hear your pastor pray, you hold your juice and bread, and when it’s time you eat and drink.  But have you ever thought about what it means to take communion?

Let’s begin with the 2 elements in communion, the juice and the bread.  Colossians 1:14 says, “in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”  Jesus paid for your sins with His spotless blood and you can be free when you put your trust in His blood for your forgiveness.  The blood of Jesus has made you righteous before Him.  Righteousness is a big word for being made right in the eyes of Jesus.  Praise God for that!

Now, let’s look at the bread.  John 6:33 says, “For the bread of God is He who comes down from Heaven and gives life to the world.”  Jesus’s body was so filled with life that even His clothes were soaked with His health like in Mark 5.  A woman touched the hem of His garment and was healed.  When we take the bread, it means we are actually ingesting His health into our body!  When Jesus went through all that He did on the cross, it brought us two things; forgiveness and healing.

So, Superkids, go get some bread and juice.  If you don’t have that, grab a cracker and water, and do what 1 Corinthians 11:24 says!  “This is my body, which is given for you.  Do this to remember me.”  Okay, now, take communion.  Take the bread and the juice or cracker and water and remember what Jesus did for you and it will manifest in your bodies!

If you would like to pray just as EMIC Superkids do every month, pray the prayer below.  If you are sick in your body, take communion every day.  If you are battling something in your life, take communion!  Remember the communion table brings power to your body!

XOXO,

Commander Jenn

Superkid Academy Communion Prayer

Hold the bread/cracker in your hand and pray this:

Thank You Jesus for Your broken body.  It is for my healing & my family’s healing.  Thank You that by Your stripes, by the beatings You bore, by the stripes that fell on Your back, we are completely healed.  I believe and I receive.

Hold the juice in your hand and pray this:

Thank You Jesus for the new covenant we have in Your blood.  Because of Your blood I am forgiven and washed clean from every sin.  I thank You that Your blood has made me righteous, in right standing with God.  As I drink, I receive healing, wholeness, and prosperity in Your blood.
